eligibility:

Pupils of one school in the age groups allowed to compete may start as a school team. Sport Club teams are not eligible. Individual athletes can enter the race, according to the classification, only by naming their school.

 

classification:

• Oberschulen Jungen (high school boys) ages 1998 and younger
• Oberschulen Mädchen (high school girls) ages 1998 and youger
• Grundschulen Jungen (primary school boys) ages 2005bis 2008
• Grundschulen M�dchen (primary school girls) ages 2005 bis 2008

 

rating:

There will be no rating for individual athlethes. Each school may register an unlimited number of pupils. The school team identification and evaluation is for boys and girls separately on the basis of the sequence of finishing and the addition of ten finishing times, while with the number of pupils who reach the goal, several school teams of one school can come in the standings. There are no mixed school teams (boys and girls).

 

special rating:

Sports high schools (with profile athletics) and school teams outside of Berlin are rated separately in high schools classification.

Registration is only to September 7th, 2017 by postal mail with the attached, fully completed and signed registration form for schools or the registration form for individual athletes.

On Saturday (09/23/2017) start numbers will be issued between 12.00 and 02.00 pm to participants from outside of Berlin only. Start numbers will be issued in the start area.

 

timing:

The timing is done by MIKA TAG. The MIKA TAG consists of a race number on which a transponder is applied. Time is measured as usual with crossing the mats at the start and finish. Since the MIKA TAG is a disposable transponder it eliminates the return. Each student can take his/her starting number home as a souvenir.

 

award:

Each participant will receive a mini-marathon T-shirt and a commemorative certificate and a medal. For the best school teams from Berlin an award ceremony will be held in October, 13th 2017.

 

further notes:

Please use public transportation, since there will be no spaces for parking cars or buses in start and finish area. Parents and coaches of sport clubs can be instructed with the care of school teams and individual runners by the schools.

 

For security reasons, parents are not allowed entering the Nachzielbereich. Teachers and coaches of school teams will receive an accreditation per reported school team for this area. Only use information material provided by the organizer, to inform parents about the finish area.

There are limited changing facilities at the start and finish. The organizer is not liable for the loss of personal property of the participating students, pupils and teachers. This also applies to objects held without charge.

An accident insurance is properly reported for students on the Unfallkasse Berlin (school event).

The organizer is not liable for health risks of the participants.

The athletes themselves accept the general conditions for participating in SCC EVENTS sporting events (http://www.bmw-berlin-marathon.com/kontakt/agb.html).

 

data collection and evaluation:

The personal data given during registration are stored. The stored data is forwarded to third parties (Mika timing GmbH, Kichenerstrasse 11 b, 51465 Bergisch Gladbach, www.mikatiming.de) and to others for the creation of the results lists as well as publishing these lists, after organizer have released them. The name, first name, school, nationality, starting number, age class and result (placement and time) of the participant are printed or published to display results in all relevant event - accompanying media (printed products such as program or result booklet as well as on the internet). The parents' written consent to the collection, storage, publication and exploitation of personal data of the participants must be submitted to the organizer on request. Participants agree that their photographs, films, and interviews made in connection with the event will be disseminated and published on the radio, television, print media, books and photomechanical reproductions (films, video cassettes, etc.) without compensation.

 

BAMBINI-RUN:

Please note: The 800 m Bambini run (2007 and younger) will be on September 23th, 2017 11:00 am near the Fairgrounds. Registration is on race day on site at the Marathon Fair. More information about this course online at www.bambini-laufserie.de .
